Mount Segla on the island of Senja, Norway
The spire of Segla
The lush inland of Senja, a large island off mainland Norway, is bounded by toothy coastal mountains. None of them make for a better viewpoint than Mount Segla. Its unmistakable, needle-like crag marks the end of a tough but rewarding trail from the fishing village of Fjordgård. Here we get a panoramic view of the mountain-lined bays and fjords that cut into this Arctic isle's northern coastline.

Mount Segla may not be the highest peak in these parts, but it arguably boasts the best panoramic view.
