Sailing into sunset
Check out the western coast of Türkiye on a map (or chart, if you happen to be on a boat) and you'll find a long, tangled line defined by countless promontories and peninsulas. Additionally, the adjacent Aegean Sea is specked with numerous islands, making for a mélange of straits, channels, inlets and bays that's a playground for sailors. Our photo subject, sailing westwards into the sunset, is on course for an international journey. Most of the larger islands in these parts belong not to Türkiye but its seaward neighbour Greece.
