Baby grey squirrels
Home in a hollow
An adorable pair of baby grey squirrels squeeze from their hidey-hole high in a tree to say hi to the camera. Squirrel pups live a high-rise lifestyle from the start, usually nesting about six metres above the forest floor. While many squirrels build large, raggedy stick nests, others save the assembly step by simply finding a hollowed-out spot in a tree – whether bored by a woodpecker or naturally formed like this one.
